TDE’s holding on to their top of the year promise of having 6 releases in 2014.
Top Dog’s frontrunner, Kendrick Lamar, has finally broke the silence about is highly anticipated sophomore album. Everyones favorite good kid recently spoke to Rolling Stone about his m.a.a.d. city follow-up saying, “there was a lot left out of good kid—it could have been a 30-track album,” said Kendrick. “There are a few new [songs] that can tie in with what I was talking about.”
He says that he’s cut a bunch of tracks with Dr. Dre and of course, TDE’s in-house production crew, Digi-Phonics. “He’s gone in the lab and tried to really elevate himself”
Kendrick says he doesn’t feel much pressure to top GKMC with the new album. His second studio album, due out this fall is filled with “aggression and emotion,” but not many cameos. “I have so much to say,” he said. “It’s almost selfish of me.”
We can’t wait for more details on this project. Does K.Dot have another classic under his belt?
