Big Pun’s widow is demanding millions
We’re all very familiar with Terror Squad’s Big Pun and Fat Joe. And we also know that Pun’s career was arguably kickstarted by Joe after the rapper appeared on Joe’s Jealous Ones Envy back in 1995. Pun then released his own platinum major label project Capital Punishment a few years later in 1988. Now, it seems as if Joe isn’t willing to share the success he’s earned off of Pun.
A new lawsuit reported by TMZ puts Joe in pretty sticky situation. Big Pun’s widow, Liza Rios is suing the Bronx rapper for withholding money that she feels she is entitled to. It appears that Joe made a deal with his protege to split all proceeds gathered from Pun’s album. It makes perfect sense that after Pun’s death the money would then go to his widow. Here’s the funny but no so funny part. Rios says she hasn’t seen a dime of any of the proceeds since 2005 despite Pun releasing several albums years after his death. She’s demanding well over a million big ones. We’ll update with an exact number as soon as the information is available to us.
