Have no fear, Young Thug is here to continue on with Lil Wayne’s “Carter” Series?

In the event that Tunechi really retires after Tha Carter V, Young Thug is a pretty solid candidate to continue on with Wayne’s “Carter” series, at least Young Thug thinks so. The rapper has never denied the impact and influence Wayne has had on his music saying that being a part of Birdman’s Rich Gang is somewhat of a dream come true for him. Thugga is pretty adamant in keeping Wayne’s legacy alive and voiced this in a recent interview with MTV. If Wayne does in fact retire after Tha Carter V, Young Thug plans to title his next album Tha Carter VI, that is of course if Weezy doesn’t snag the tittle himself after another “retire” spiel. In the interview with MTV, Thugga says despite what Wayne says, the YMCMB rapper will continue to release music well after Carter V.

“Wayne coming out with more albums so I don’t know if he’ll name one Tha Carter VI,” said Thug, suggesting that Wayne still had to give the ok before he could use the title. “It depends what he names his album.”

If Thug gets the ok, he’s more than happy to keep the legacy going.

“He did 1 to 5, I’m gonna do 6 to 10″, Thug revealed.
