The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-0. Coach Chip Kelly’s team handily beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in week one, snuck a win in week two on a field goal with seconds remaining against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football and pulled out a win in a divisional grudge match against the Washington Redskins this past Sunday.

One person not surprised by the birds flying high is the mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter.

Nutter was an attendee of former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s Global Initiative Summit in New York City this week. While there, he along with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Houston Mayor Annise Parker announced a new Commitment to Action to form the Mayors’ National Climate Action Agenda to push forward on initiatives that address climate change in their cities and ultimately to influence national policy.

In between fielding tough questions with reporters about climate change, Nutter was happy to loosen up his collar a little bit and talk about the football team in green and while.“I’m excited about the Philadelphia Eagles and what they’re doing,” Nutter told The Source.

He also marveled about Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles. “I’m more excited about the fact that they have one of the most energy efficient stadiums,” said Nutter. “So they’re doing well on the field, but they’re doing well with energy.”

The Eagles are in San Francisco this weekend, putting their three game winning streak on the line against the 1-2 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
