The guys behind “Lifestyle” reveal their bag of tricks
Neither Young Thug nor Rich Homie Quan are officially signed to Birdman‘s Cash Money Records label, but as of most of this year, he’s certainly ushered them into the Rich Gang fold. That unofficial occurrence has been cemented by the announcement of a tour–the tentative dates and locations of which have been included below–and the release of Rich Gang: The Tour Pt. 1, the Birdman x Young Thug x RHQ collaborative mixtape that is officially available for thy streaming and downloading pleasure. While the release of new Young Thug music has been sporadic–a lot of the Young Thug music available on the internet was released by third parties and unauthorized by Thug himself, or his new label (300)–and Rich Homie Quan has kept mum on his new projects–his last official mixtape was I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In, released last year–whenever these two guys join forces, the result is usually well received. Dating back to January’s “Out My Face”, which fared fairly well on the Billboard Hip-Hop charts, and fast-forwarding to the present-day, in which their official Rich Gang single, “Lifestyle”, has cracked the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40, there’s no denying the chemistry between these guys.
