Born and raised in Los Angeles, Amanda Secor  is currently studying at the prestigious Fashion Institute Of Design and Merchandising, majoring in Product Development. She is the owner/designer of urban streetwear line, 18K, and has been dating rapper, Fizz, formerly of the group B2K, for the past two years.

What made you decide to be a part of the show?

Well, my boyfriend Drew was actually offered to do the show , and they wanted to follow his love story and I’m his girlfriend so I had to be a part of it.

So as we know you’re with Fizz who is well known from the music group B2K as well as acting. You both are quite the busy couple. How do you guys make time for each other despite hectic schedules?

It’s hard to make time for each other especially now, but I don’t know, we kind of just make it work , and we  want it and then sometimes we’re with each other, so we just kind of  have to make it work.

How did you get into designing?

I actually got into in Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising , and I’ve always been interested in fashion and designing so it’s kind of always been a part of my life.

How has being born and raised in Los Angeles influence your designs for your street wear line 18k?

It definitely has been the inspiration for casual urban street wear . It’s definitely been an influence in my life and designing as well.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I definitely have a shopping issue(*laughs*). I’m trying to work on it (*laughs*)

How do you stay humble and focused on your craft?

I’m generally a very humbled person, I try not to get caught up in type of everything, it’s who I am

What advice would you give to people that want to start designing?

You have to find something that you’re passionate about and that you love and it will be easy for you to come naturally.

What do you want people to understand about yourself?

I want them to understand that I wasn’t coming in to replace Moniece or try to take over. I wanted her to feel comfortable with me being in Drew and Kamryn’s life and you know being more present, and I don’t want people to think  that I’m coming in to attack Moniece or  I  was the one that didn’t want to get along with her.
