With the success of television shows based on comic book series (see: The Walking Dead, Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), a small-screen adaptation of the X-Men makes sense. Bleeding Cool, who recently broke the news of a Supergirl television series, which was later confirmed by CBS, have now announced that a live-action series based within the X-Men universe could be coming soon.
Considering the prosperity and popularity of the X-Men film series, particularly since it’s quasi-reboot in 2011 with X-Men: First Class, this should prove to be a lucrative venture. The series which will air on FOX, who are said to be in “deep development” for the show, will reportedly focus on Peter David‘s X-Factor story arc from the early 90′s comic book series. Shawn Madden of EatGeekPlay.com has since took to Twitter to provide some more details.
Okay, since the cats out of the bag…Fox is developing a TV show based on Peter David's X-Factor.

This isn't the first time Fox has tried to bring the X-Men to television. But Generation X didn't go so well.

The X-Factor series will definitely feature Jamie Madrox and be sort of like "Fringe in the X-Men world".

I'm going to be the first to label what I stated earlier as a rumor and will be first to admit if it's wrong. Fingers crossed it's right.
