It’s been a long time coming for Cane to get some serious love on The Source. He’s progressed like none other over the last couple years, especially in 2014. He’s done shows in NYC, SXSW, become buddy buddy with some industry icons (Statik, Sway, Markman), and now he’s here to present his album with us. Produced by Lou Burna, save the bonus track which comes courtesy of Statik, Citizen Cane weighs in at 17 tracks of quick, clever rhymes. Cane has developed a skill for creating songs that go beyond bragging and threats, as seen in the middle tracks of the project. Berna refuses to be put in a box and Cane does right by that, adapting to each vibe as Don Draper would have done. But that’s enough from me. Stream the project below and tell us how you really feel about it.

The album may be free on his Bandcamp until Friday but you should support the young man via iTunes and Spotify, Amazon, etc. in the coming days.

Bryan Hahn will be riding into the sunset with “That’s The Way” playing everywhere. He’s on Twitter (@notupstate).
