After a 27-0 beat down of the New York Giants Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles are a bunch of bullies.

Yeah I said it.

But, at least they’re stylish bullies!

Usually running a high-octane offense under head coach Chip Kelly, the Eagles gave their coach the night off earlier this month and sent players Emmanuel Acho, Matt Barkley, Brandon Boykin, Riley Cooper, Zach Ertz, Todd Herremans and Chris Maragos over to Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania’s Saks Fifth Avenue store.

The players traded in their shoulder pads and helmets for department store measuring tape and participated in The Style Games. A competition that marries both sports and fashion, the goal of The Style Games is to tack the ‘illest thematic outfits together in a limited amount of time.

The Eagles were on the play clock with over 150 guests and attendees witnessing the players flying high and snatching clothes off the racks and piecing together quality outfits. “I’m not great at fashion but I thought the event was fun,” Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper told The Source.

Eagles’ backup quarterback Matt Barkley put the clipboard down and dove into the racks of clothes to put something together—even though he wasn’t styling himself. “For someone that’s not you, it was kind of hard,” said Barkley.

“It was fun though. I didn’t know what I was doing but we had a team captain in Todd Herremans who is very stylish. Look at him! We were kind of just helping out.”

Upon meeting deadline, celebrity fashion stylist, Jen Abrams of Jen Abrams Style, Philadelphia Inquirer fashion writer, Elizabeth Wellington, celebrity stylist, Texanna Watts of G-III Apparel Group and Michael Duru, owner of Michael Duru Clothiers were on hand to judge what the players put together under the categories of street wear, business and business causal.

“When they said GQ business casual I just wanted to put something together that popped,” Eagles corner Brandon Boykin told The Source.  “The biggest thing was to make sure that it looked good with color. You didn’t want to be boring with just black or grey.”

Source Magazine photographer Eric Salvary snapped photos of the craziness.

The competition was for a good cause. Ten percent of everything purchased that evening was donated to True Foundation, the foundation of Eagles wide receiver and special teams ace Brad Smith. True Foundation’s mission is working to promote education, discipline and organized activity for youth in Smith’s native greater Youngstown, Ohio area. “I’m loving it man,” Smith told The Source.

“My teammates had fun at The Style Games. Big shoutout to Saks Fifth Avenue for helping us raise funds for our foundation. Everybody had a great time.”

So what happened at the competition?

WELL…see what had happened was: Let’s just say that, uh….some of the outfits were creative and well, interesting!

In the end, Eagles veteran offensive guard Todd Herremans and his team got the victory. “This was a great event that Brad put together to help underprivileged children,” Herremans told The Source.

“And I think it was a good showing for his teammates to come out. It was a lot of fun and the offense came out on top.”
