Well. Would ya look at that !
Justin Timberlake has done it again. “The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2″-according to early reports from HDD-show that he has landed at the top of the charts selling 348, 390 copies its first week.
Go on…clap for the man.
Falling 78% to number two is Drake’s Nothing Was The Same moving 146,251 copies its second week and tight on both their heels is the 16-year-old New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde. Her album, Pure Heroine rounds out the top three with 127, 226 copes sold.
Now everyone, let’s do a little math. On the first go round, JT sold 968,000 copes-damn near going platinum- out the gate with the “20/20 Experience” which means the pressure was pretty high. Unfortunately, not too many people took to Part 2, and the album sales reflect that selling 619,610 album less.
The fans have spoken. Folks still dig the Tennessee Kid, just 619,610 of ‘em may have been out to lunch that day.
