Last night’s Angel Ball was the “best party in town”, as mentioned by honoree Jho Low. The star-studded black-tie benefit included appearances by celebrities of every genre such as Paris and Nicky Hilton, Blake Lively (who is the face of Gucci Première women’s fragrance and donned a Gucci Cruise 2015 pale yellow silk long sleeve silk gown with a plunging neckline enhanced with silver crystal tubular embroidery), Ryan Reynolds (who wore a Gucci Made to Order peak lapel two button Marseille tuxedo with a black evening shirt, navy silk bowtie and black leather lace ups shoes), Kris Jenner, Sofia Vergara and many more in order to raise money for Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research . Hosted by Denise Rich, the party lasted the whole night at Cipriani Wall Street.
After cocktails, guests were seated with candlelit tables and appetizers to start off the gourmet menu. Dinner was served alongside a live auction which consisted of jewelry modeled by celebrities like Sofia Vergara and Gigi Hadid, designed in collaboration with Lorraine Schwartz and former cancer patients; vacation packages to Abu Dhabi and Reims, and artwork by Thierry Guetta. Following, Star Jones led a donation auction, which received offers from $50,000 to $1,000.
Later on in the evening, guests enjoyed performed by a number of artists. Clive Davis introduced a pregnant Alicia Keys, who played beautiful renditions of her most popular songs like “No One”. Other performers included Grammy Award Winning legend Nile Rodgers who performed “Le Freak,” “Everybody Dance,” “Good Times,” and “We Are Family” that had everyone vibing and dancing in addition to Avery Wilson, Tina Knowles, and Jamie Foxx.
The ball carried on into midnight with speeches made by honorees and Angel ambassadors with a total of $3.7 million raised for cancer research. Guests went home with gift bags sponsored by Haute Living Magazine.
