Some people call it NOLA. Some gave it the nickname The Big Easy. But at the end of the day, everyone knows it as New Orleans, Louisiana, and home to tomorrow’s 5th Annual NOLA Hip-Hop Awards.
Presented by Supreme Street, the NOLA Hip-Hop Awards is a celebration of the best New orleans hip-hop and bounce artists. Home to music greats such as Lil Wayne, Jay Electronica, Frank Ocean and August Alsina, New Orleans is a city rich with urban culture that’s built on more than just brass, jazz, and funk. And as they celebrate the 5th Annual NOLA Hip-Hop Awards tomorrow at the Joy Theater, they’re also honoring the folks that helped to keep urban traditions alive while coming together to bridge the music gap.
On top of an amazing awards ceremony, the NOLA Hip-Hop Awards also contributes to the community by providing internship and mentorship opportunities in the music industry. They also donate a percentage of the award proceeds to NFL YET and the Boys & Girls Club of New Orleans, organizations in their community that are designed to uplift the youth.
