Meet Queens, NY native Kenisha Perkins, a recent college grad and owner of SugarButterBatter. Her company, is an online bakery service that makes some of your favorite treats.

With the holiday’s here, who doesn’t like baked goods?

Currently taking cupcake orders via SugarButterBatter.com, Perkins has a green thumb for making quality baked goods. You name it: red velvet and lemon coconut cupcakes, sweet potato pie—she’s got it on lock! (For the record, I tried some of the cupcake flavors myself, with cookies and cream being my favorite).

The products she creates are of good quality—with the taste being the standard and the presentation being an added bonus. One of her recent cupcake orders showcased a Los Angeles Lakers themed purple and gold frosting with Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant’s #24 on top.

I recently met Perkins at a bakery showcase and she mentioned her desire to turn her in-house business to a show on the road. According to Perkins, she plans on opening her own mobile food truck to sell her treats. To make that a reality, she’s raised close to $4,000 through a crowd funding campaign.

Once she reaches her goal, she plans to purchase the mobile truck, equipment, packaging and insurance.

What’s even cooler is that she’s gotten support from folks in the industry.

Just this weekend, Perkins got a co-sign from The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy via instagram. Envy got wind of her movement and gave her props for repping his borough saying:

“Great story!!!! Lady from Queens Ny, trying to get her business started… I don’t know her, but I love to see Entrepreneurs from my hood.. Good Luck @sugarbutterbatter
