Dubbed a healer by Sway Calloway, Mike Smith got his start by creating two medical practice chains. Deciding to follow a passion, Smith teamed with friend and business partner Jonathan Hay to create SMH Records.
A few weeks back, Smith went on Calloway’s Sway in the Morning (Shade 45) show alongside Crooked and DJ King Tech – to announce the One Shot show. A brainchild of the Crooked I, One Shot is a reality competition show for rappers who want to become the next big Hip-Hop star. Spearheaded by SMH Records, One Shot will travel through eight cities in search of emcees looking for their big break. Smith, Crook, Tech, and special musical guests will act as the judges for the competition, with the winner receiving $100k and a record deal.
Other folks involved with the show include Jonathan Hay, Kathy Iandoli and Kim Osorio. Check out the behind the scenes video of One Shot and SMH Records starring Crooked I.
