If you have $20,000 you can fly to your destination like an Arab Prince. Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, unveiled the world’s most luxurious living space in the air, called ”The Residence”. The first-class private suite on Etihad’s Airbus A380 super jumbos is the closest thing in commercial air travel to having a private jet.
This flying 3-room apartment may even be nicer than your real home in terms of amenities. The cost to fly to your destination in “The Residence” is $20,000 a flight and has been created by world famous interior designers.
”The Residence” is a 125-square-foot three-room upper deck cabin with a separate and large double bedroom, a luxurious living room with leather sofa with ottoman, a dining table, a 32-inch flat screen TV and a chilled drinks cabinet as well as a full bathroom including a shower room. Your $20,000 ride in the flying apartment also comes with a VIP travel concierge and your own butler trained at a hoity toity Butler academy in London. (Who knew that there were school to train butlers?) The butler will handle all of your on board needs including bringing you breakfast in bed. You can’t forget the food. There is a chef on board to make all of your meals. With all the luxury amenities, you know that mobile and wifi is included.
Despite the price, Etihad’s $20,000 flying apartments have already pre-sold out. The Residence’s first flight, between Abu Dhabi and London is scheduled for December 2014.
