Aside from being a part of the THOT starter kit and signifying a gang affiliation, tattoos have gone mainstream. They are no longer just associated with criminals and rappers.  You’d be surprised at who has tattoos- there are even priests with tattoos. Approximately 45 million people have at least one tattoo. As the industry grows and as artist enhance their skills the price of tattoos goes up.  Today, the average tattoo ranges in price from $100 to $2000. The prices of tattoos are based on a few things, including size, intricacy of the design, number of colors and location on the body they are being put. What does a tattoo that cost almost a  $1 million dollars look like? It better be anything you want. I can see the diamond tear drops already.

Most tattoos are made using ink, the $1 million tattoo is made using actual diamonds. It consists of the highest quality 612 diamonds, each weighing at least a half a carat.

As part of a promotion, for his business South African jeweler Yair Shimansky has came up with this  temporary tattoo that has set the world record for the Most Expensive Diamond Tattoo.

Securing diamonds on your skin is definitely not an easy job. It can take up to 8 hours to adhere them to your skin the skin.  The diamonds are secured with a water adhesive so that they are not attached permanently and can be removed. I sure hope the adhesive works well. A stone falling off would be NO BUENO!
