Big Gipp is one of Atlanta’s most well-respected and long-standing hip hop artists, initially making his mark as a member of the now legendary group Goodie Mob. He has since had multiple solo projects, always remaining a rooted face of the southern hip hop culture.
Earlier this year, Gipp continued that trend by releasing Mr. Get Down, an eighteen song project featuring the likes of Trinidad James and Bruno Mars. His style has always been so encapsulating to the ATL sound – his new single “Damn That Booty Big” is no different. What is interesting is the fact that much of hip hop has caught up to his style, as there was a time not too long ago when Big Gipp had a vibe few others had.
