Days after “Money Mayweather” called out Pacquiao, it seems Manny caught wind of it and has some words of his own
Earlier this week, Floyd Mayweather had some words regarding a ‘potential’ fight’ against Manny Pacquiao on the tentative date of May 2nd and within days, Pacquiao shoots back a response to the prized fighter.
According to the Detroit Free Press:
“He has reached a dead end. He has nowhere to run but to fight me. I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he’s gonna engage me in a slugfest. You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep.”
It seems Pacquiao is not a fan of his fighting style, but more importantly he’s not very interested in the revenue the fight could potentially create. When asked about the money the fight could possibly generate, Pacquiao responded with these words to the Detroit Free Press:
“Mayweather can get the amount he wants. As early as January this year, I challenged him to a charity fight. Until now, he has not agreed to it. So, money is not the issue in our fight. This fight is about legacy, this is about making the fans happy and, above all, this is for the good of boxing.”
The verdict is still out on whether or not we will see the fight, but from the looks of it the two boxers are very interested in settling the score.
