Canadian rapper TassNata releases a nine song EP titled “Before Mourning.”
With production from some of hip hop’s notable newcomers like Pops (worked with Drake, The Game, Freddie Gibbs) Rich Kidd (worked with Drake, Raekwon, Talib Kweli) and Junia-T (worked with Little Simz, Smashbrovaz), TassNata re-enters the game with a refined, unique, and seemingly effortless style. Before Mourning conceptually represents the death of a day, and the birth of a new 24 hours in which life is identically structured on a larger scale.
The EP has guest appearances from fellow Canadians JD Era, Rich Kidd, & Junia-T, as well as his friends south of the border in Danny Brown, and Iman Omari. The project boasts live instrumentation and most notably the seamless horn work from musician Octavio Santos of Toronto.
