The two of them combine to make music that every artist strives to create–something fresh and creative, yet familiar and comforting. Jillian’s voice is similar to Macy Gray’s in cadence and nuance but has the warmth and smoothness as if someone sanded down and applied a fresh layer of finish to Gray’s voice. Lucas squeezes out soulful production that complements Jillian’s singing instead of getting in the way. The two have a great harmony.
