The highly anticipated 6th installment of the infamous Battle of the Bay event was held this weekend and the internet hasn’t stopped jabbering about it since. What separates Battle of the Bay from other KOTD (and once Grindtime) events is that it’s thematically supposed to be a “style clash” event.  The divide in battling, be it cultural or stylistic, is historically put on display at BOTB and this year was no exception. URL street-style behemoth Charlie Clips faced off against East Bay joke star Dirtbag Dan.  Scribble Jam vet Illmaculate stepped in the ring with URL’s very own white chocolate Bigg K and battle rap’s Andy Kaufman, Daylyt, had a one round bout against veteran comedian/certified OG, Head Ice.

While opinions from attendee’s have differ pretty dramatically thus far on the evenings winners and losers, there have been murmurings of that the Bigg K/Ilmaculate  was among the night’s best battles and that Dirtbag Dan conceded the win to Charlie Clips at the end of their battle.

West Coast Battle Rap vet Okwerdz was in the house and made  this video to give folks a taste of what the atmosphere was like as well as a few amuse bouche’s of the night’s bars.  Interestingly, Okwerdz was mentioned more than once during BOTB6 and the question still remains as to whether he will return to the ring. Well Ok?
