Jourdan Dunn scores her first solo cover for British Vogue
If there was any formula to truly “breaking the internet”, supermodel Jourdan Dunn did just that. She took to Instagram to share and set the fashion world ablaze that she has officially graced the cover of British Vogue ending the 12 year streak of not featuring a solo black model. The last model to grace the cover was Naomi Campbell back in the August 2002 spread.
Jourdan Dunn has always vocalized the treatment of African American models and racism within the industry. Gracing the cover as the first solo black supermodel in 12 years will hopefully spark the change to an industry that has lacked in diversifying their magazine covers in recent years.
