Anyone else feel like they’ve lived in 2015 before? “Back to Future” fans should.

To add more to the trilogy’s glory, we’re now here in the year that the first sequel visits. One thing that stood out among viewers were Nike’s Air Mag sneakers created for Michael J. Fox‘s Marty McFly.

It would be years before we’d see Nike add the Air Mag theme to another shoe, paying homage to the futuristic theme that the movie propelled. That shoe, 2008′s Hyperdunk, was groundbreaking in itself.

Three years later the Air Mag was officially released to raise money for Parkinson’s disease. At the time, Michael J. Fox mentioned that “This project is exciting to me because it brings together three very passionate audiences: the Parkinson’s community, the sneaker heads, and ‘Back to the Future’ fans.” Upon the release of the 2011 version of the Air Mag, fans noticed that something was missing: power laces. When asked, designer Tinker Hatfield revealed that we’d have to wait until 2015.

Now, it’s been confirmed.

Without giving a release date, Tinker confirmed that his team is working as hard as possible to deliver the Nike MAG in 2015 with Power Laces, but also reminded us all that we still have “11 and two-thirds months left in 2015″.  In other words – it is happening, but as to when, it is still unknown.
