ESPN anchor Stuart Scott will be laid to rest on Saturday.

The iconic broadcaster passed away Sunday at the age of 49 after a long battle with cancer. His funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. A visitation is scheduled for Friday from four to eight o’clock at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh.

Scott, was born in Chicago but spent his formative years growing up in North Carolina. He’s also an alum of the University of North Carolina. The Tar Heels men’s basketball team honored Scott this week by wearing a patch with the word “Stu” embroidered on their jerseys.

Scott will be buried at Raleigh Memorial Park.
