Lenny Kravitz will join Katy Perry for her Super Bowl Halftime show. 

Katy announced this news in an exclusive interview with NBC’s Willie Geist. The full interview with air Monday morning on “Today.” The Super Bowl is taking place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Regarded as one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, Lenny Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race and class into a 20-year musical career, one which revels in the rich influences of ’60s and ’70s soul, rock and funk.

The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 115 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show.  The Super Bowl and halftime show will be broadcast worldwide. Katy Perry joins an esteemed list of recent halftime acts that includes Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.
