James Anderson, better known to his listeners as Bulletproof Belv has plans to put his native Asbury Park, NJ on the map for hip hop, just like talk show host Wendy Williams and late WWE wrestler Bam Bam Bigelow did in their respective crafts.
A witty lyricist that gets his point across on record, his latest two singles My Operation and We Made It are odes to his grind to be the best while facing adversity. My Operation, hits on topical issues based on his experiences in the streets of Asbury Park, NJ. “It reaches out to every gangster that lives and dies by the street codes,” Bulletproof Belv tells The Source.
“It Points out the biggest code of all-no snitching, no matter what.”
According to the rapper, his We Made It is a track that highlights how he and his eleven brothers endured struggle while growing up in Asbury Park. Its a story of triumph and celebration as he and his team has not forgotten where they came from came from. “The streets made us but they will never break us,” said Belv. “Because of our fierce street credibility through newspapers and rumors we are the topic of every conversation. Now that we are on stage, we will be the topic of every household, but this time for something positive.
Be on the lookout for Bulletproof Belv’s forthcoming Proof Over Politics mixtape slated for the first quarter of this year.
