An ill passenger on a flight that landed in a NYC area airport was hospitalized for an apparent Ebola evaluation
A United Airlines flight arriving at Newark International Airport had a passenger aboard that was later put under medical care after this person appeared to be suffering from Ebola-like symptoms.
The passenger, who is currently being kept in the Hackensack University Medical Center for further examination, arrived Monday afternoon in Newark on a flight from Brussels, according to United Airlines spokesperson Luke Punzenberger.
After arriving at Newark airport from Brussels, medical personnel met a United flight to assist an ill passenger on board,” he said. “Passengers and crew stayed on the plane until the medical personnel cleared the aircraft.
This person is being kept at the New Jersey hospital “in an abundance of caution”, says spokesperson Nancy Radwin.
