The comedian posted some not so funny images on Instagram that received more than its fair share of racial criticism

Comedian/actor Mike Epps will probably never hear the end to this one.

The Next Friday star posted a picture last night on Instagram depicting slaves being whipped by an overseer in a cotton field. Even though countless of these images exist on the web, what caused such an explosion on social media was the fact that the slaves in Epps’ image were white and the overseer was black.

Adding obvious insult to injury, the picture also included a smiling Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. looking down from the sky wit hthe caption, “I am so proud of you bro! Lol.”

Epps removed the pic, however, not before scores of screen shots caught the dry joke. He later apologized, saying that it was just an absurd joke with his nephews, which is why he took it down. See his hilarious apology in the video below.
