The dynamic duo of the Wu Tang Clan offers up a film about their epic debut project, which will premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival

One of the most memorable albums from the WTC legacy is Raekwon‘s classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx album, also known as the “Purple Tape”. Pulling up on two decades since the fourth Wu solo album was released, the two have decided to pull off a feature documentary film in which the fans will crowd-fund the project. ThePurpleTapeFiles.com will be where those interested in donating to the project can get exclusive Purple Tape swag and never before seen BTS footage.

Here’s what Ghost had to say at a press junket in Utah about Purple Tape Files;

People never really got to hear or see the goin’ into [the making of OB4CL], so we’re just gonna give it to you onscreen. It’s gonna capture the emotions: happiness, sadness, and realness at the end of the day.

The crowd-funding promo will continue at the Grammys next month and SXSW in March.
