Sometimes in the infinite mess that is the internet, we stumble upon an artist that gives you hope again in the future of Hip-Hop. Let us know if Imhotep is one of those artists. Brooklyn’s Imhotep takes on the Egyptian moniker as an emcee but then switches into Jvcen $vada as a producer (think Bobby Digital and RZA). His latest offering, My Beautiful Disaster, is self produced and written by himself. The production is a mix of Kanye, N.E.R.D., and DOOM. The lyrics sound similar to the Clipse and their associates. Expect growth on the mic as well as the boards, as he’s been producing for only a few years and rapping for a little bit longer than that.

When Imhotep does make it big, he plans on donating his earnings to youth charities. On top of that, he wants to take his Goldeneyed brand to grand heights in order to support the youth culture.

Bryan Hahn can’t imagine what a beautiful victory would look like from Imhotep. He’s on Twitter (@notupstate).
