On Feb. 4, Converse announced the launch of their Rubber Tracks Sample Library created in partnership with Indaba Music. The library will allow musicians to create and utilize samples from an online database.
The library currently offers over 10,000 high quality loops, stems and sounds created by emerging and established artists at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn and Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studios around the world. Musicians will be able to use these samples free of charge.
To unveil this exciting new development, Converse hosted a small soiree at their Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn, New York. Decorated with their signature American flag made from dozens of converse sneakers and gentle lighting, the studio is filled with an aura that would be inviting to creative souls from all genres of music. Performing at the event was an up and coming band named “Body Language”. The Indie-alternative group took the stage to perform a song they created using the Rubber Tracks studio and Sample Library. Attendees were treated to a cool demo of the sample library.
Converses have been worn by some of the biggest musicians in the world such as Grammy Award winner Pharrell Williams; and the folks at Converse are simply furthering their ties in the music industry.
