You may not be familiar with his career, but it speaks volumes when an indie Hip Hop artist from Sydney, Australia can start off rapping over industry instrumentals and build an impressive following on social media to making his mark in the US by climbing Mediabase’s Top 40 Pop Independent Artists chart. And that’s exactly what Nick de la Hoyde did with the release of the chart climbing hit, The Longest Way.
Nick’s ascend began when he caught the attention of Chicago based Hip Hop producer Lemoyne “LA” Alexander, who is credited with placements with R. Kelly and Aaliyah. LA, as he is commonly referred as, invited the 21-year-old singer/rapper to the United States to collaborate, which resulted in The Longest Way being de la Hoyde’s in America.
