It seems as though menswear designers are embracing sporty looks this year. Some are relaxed, others are more tailored.

This Gents collection experimented with edgy jackets and bottoms and also different styles of hats. Definitely meant to portray a sexy look, one model was wearing a jacket and pants with no shirt. To the right of the showroom, their were four models wearing white graphic tees, white boxers, colorful and patterned mix-matching socks and colorful hats. I enjoyed the individual designs but I feel like the styling could have been executed a little better. There were too many different color schemes and stripes when pairing the items and the hats didn’t really go with some of the models’ clothing. The models were wearing The Royal Great sneakers in black which looked good with the pants and full sweatsuits. Another thing I noticed at NYMD was that a lot of the designers used white backgrounds and staging to bring out the colors in the clothing more which worked to their advantage. I really enjoyed the simple blue, burgundy, black and white and also the black and rusted leather used in the stripes, hats and pants.
