Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh was admitted to a Miami-area hospital on Thursday.
Per BleacherReports’ Jared Zwerling, the All Star complained of chest pain and it’s been discovered that Bosh has a blood clot in one lung.
No official word on his diagnosis has been given and Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra urges everyone to remain calm: “Everybody’s jumping the gun,” he said earlier today.
“Frankly, there’s not a full diagnosis.”
Bosh’s former Heat teammate LeBron James reached out to Bosh via text last night to offer his support. “I’m [expletive] up, man,” James told the Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Chris Haynes earlier today.
Bosh could miss the remainder of the season. If blood clots are found in his lungs, treatment can usually last for half a year.
Losing Bosh could be a huge blow to the Heat who are currently 22-30 and sit in the eighth and final playoff spot in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.
