Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson told ESPN that he is “still uneasy” about the prospect of returning to the Vikings in 2015.
Peterson played only one game this season after being suspended by the NFL and Minnesota Vikings for beating his child.
According to the 2012 NFL MVP, he believes that the Vikings organization was working with the NFL to put him on the commissioner’s exempt list last September.
With that happening, the situation made him question how much support he had from the team. The former NFL rushing yards leader also indicated that the decision to shelve him was an ‘ambush.’ “There were people that I trusted, who knew exactly what was said,” Peterson told the worldwide leader. “That weren’t heard from” in the decision-making process.”
Peterson is currently under contract with the Vikings for 2015. He is scheduled to earn a base salary of $12.75 million this season.
