Kendrick Perkins, a member of the 2008 NBA champion Boston Celtics, reached a buyout agreement with the Utah Jazz and in turn, ESPN.com’s Royce Young reports that the 6-11 bruiser will in fact team with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
At the NBA’s trade deadline on Thursday, Perkins’ former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder sent the big man to the Utah Jazz in a three-team trade. OKC also shipped guard Reggie Jackson to the Detroit Pistons and Enes Kanter, Steve Novak, Kyle Singler and D.J. Augustin to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
