Bowling Green, KY native and lyricist Eazy Blvd has garnered a buzz after his role as the lead man in the group Below Zero.
Their regionally successful single “New Era” landed the group a joint venture record deal with Kingpin Entertainment, owned by entertainment lawyer Sandy Lal – as well as an official Below Zero Kentucky Hat deal.
Internal issues would later deter the group and cause their separation. The search for a new deal, coupled with the loss of group members to prison bids and family life, would prove to be too much and push Eazy to step away from the music business. He vowed to wait until the return of his group member from Below Zero before releasing any more music, but a phone call from his cousin in prison changed his mind.
As a result, Eazy decided to go solo, and reemerge as Eazy Blvd. He made his way south to Atlanta, where he linked up with producer Willy Will who has worked with Lil Wayne, R. Kelly and Rihanna, and start working on his DJ Holiday hosted mixtape Pledge 2 the Streets.
Being from the Lexington, Kentucky-area, industry executive Jonathan Hay of Jonathan Hay Celebrity likes what he hears. “I love anything that represents Kentucky, except Kentucky Wildcat Basketball,” he said. “Go Cards! No seriously, Nappy Roots introduced me to Eazy and Desmond and I’m thankful for the introduction. These are some good guys here. The singles with Kevin Gates and Young Buck should explode online here in the next week or so.”
“Eazy Blvd is the next to blow,” said Desmond Bell, one of Eazy’s Managers. “He knows how to make great records and there is a lot more to come. He will be the promoters best-friend,”
Beginning today, his mixtape is available on DatPiff. It has accrued guest features from Kevin Gates, Starlito, Vito Banga of Nappy Roots, and Young Buck. Currently, EAZY BLVD is working on his official EP and readying himself to go on tour.
