He’s back!
Kevin Garnett made his much anticipated return to the Twin City this evening against the Washington Wizards.
Garnett was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1995. Following 12 seasons with the T-Wolves, Garnett joined the Boston Celtics along with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. Garnett made a significant impact and won an NBA championship with Boston in 2008.
Garnett, formerly a member of the Brooklyn Nets, waived his no-trade clause last week, which in turn shipped the forward to the team that drafted him. The deal also included the Nets receiving the rights to Thaddeus Young.
The Timberwolves defended their homecourt and beat the Washington Wizards 97-77. The future NBA Hall of Famer did not have one of his best games finishing with five points on 2-of-7 shooting. He also hauled in eight rebounds.
