Powerade puts together a powerful new Ad in the midst of Rose’s injury
For any basketball enthusiast out there, there is virtually no way you can’t feel for Derrick Rose. Plagued once again by a knee injury that can very well end his season again, the basketball community has rallied together in hopes that the injury isn’t season ending and only temporarily. With the speculation of Derrick’s future up for discussion, Powerade has decided to put out an old commercial that is timed perfectly and pertains to the subject at hand.
Will Derrick Rose beat the odds. Again?
The commercial finds a boy riding his bike through the streets of Englewood, Chicago while scenes shift back to Rose hitting the floor at the United Center leaving viewers with the impression that dreams are definitely attainable. Not to mention, the clip is narrated by Tupac Shakur who gives this a very cinematic feel, but more importantly, a powerful message. This video is nothing short of moving, watch it above and continue to root for the kid.
