Just a quick salute to Keke Palmer, Drew Sidora, & Lil’ Mama for really taking their roles to the next level in the TLC biopic. Though many want to still find a way to hate on Lil’ Mama, it’s clear that she studied Left Eye to no end and took it very serious. She knew it was expected, working twice as hard despite not having her muse here to show the way. & how crazy were those videos – these girls nailed the looks, scarily.

Something very interesting, that I’m not sure whether or not it was intentional, the movie had an underlying message of the troubles girls without fathers face. Here you see three young girls with all the success in the world, broken inside and looking for love in all the wrong places.

Shout out to Evan Ross cute self too. He played Dallas Austin, a producer of many of TLC’s early tracks and ultimately the father of Chilli’s son. 500.

I went to check Pebbles twitter to see if she was tuned in… On October 17 she tweeted, “He who states his case first seems right, until his rival comes and cross-examines him. (Proverbs 18:17 AMP).” I guess that means she saw the preview and wasn’t happy?

We learned at the end of the movie, T-Boz & Chilli are working on new music with Ne-Yo (great plug). We look forward to see where you’re going with your new sound.

RIP Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes
