According to a published report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former NFL quarterback and current SEC Network analyst Tim Tebow is working out for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tebow last threw a football in 2013 as a member of the New England Patriots. The Pats cut him after completing only 11 of 30 passes in three preseason games. The 25th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, Tebow’s last regular season game in the NFL was in 2012 as a member of the New York Jets as a second string quarterback behind Mark Sanchez.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ need for another option at quarterback is essential with the team shipping Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for Sam Bradford.
An accomplished college football player, Tebow quarterbacked the Florida Gators to two national championship wins. During his collegiate career, he completed almost 50% of his passes and rushed for 2,422 yards and 17 touchdowns.
