This week’s Off The Wall feature is DMV native REZIST, aka graf’s “young OG”
We decided to travel outside of the five boroughs for this week’s Off The Wall focus and when we hit the nation’s capital, some of the most exceptional pieces were done by none other than REZIST.
A new millenium writer who began to hit the walls of the DMV in his late teens, REZIST, also known to his friends as “Funk”, is one of those guys who definitely paid his dues to get up. Currently repping various crews like HOA, MSP, and NSF, Rez’s work can be seen anywhere from his local DC area to San Francisco, where he was bagged for his excessive bombing in 2010. His main PNCs are AMEN and PEAR, but this guy gets around so much, he might just end up on a bombing expedition with the local writer from your hood.
Not confined to any surface, REZIST hits everything from freights, walls(legal and illegal), glass, panels and everything in between! Most recently, Rez dropped a colorful piece in Miami Art Basel 2013 ,as shown in the photo above. For more photos, check out the slide show below.
