Slow down Daxter, those are some strong words buddy

At this point, it’s arguably a known fact that the Kentucky Wildcats are undefeated and (possibly) could win the 2015 Men’s Basketball NCAA Championship. I mean, we’ve seen them beat up on teams throughout the season and tourney so to most people and old opponents, UK looks like a shoe-in to raise the trophy come April. But for upcoming rivals, the Kentucky Wildcats trailblazing efforts come to a halt tonight versus the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Meet Dexter Miles Jr, the West Virginia 2-guard on a tough WVU squad who has some things to say regarding the match-up tonight. Check what he said in an ESPN presser yesterday below:

“I give them their props,” West Virginia freshman guard Daxter Miles Jr. told reporters Wednesday. “Salute them to getting to 36-0. But tomorrow they’re gonna be 36-1.” ”They should be more intimidated,” Miles said. “Because they’re the ones who have the high standard, and we’re coming for them.”

Well, there’s one thing you can not deny and it’s his confidence. Daxter also believes that the Wildcats should fear WVU cause they “Don’t play hard” and intimidation will not be a factor. WVU coach Bob Huggins seems a little more mellow about the situation and when asked about how his squad will do against the press, he responded ”I hope so. It’s going to be a long day for us if we can’t.”

Meanwhile, Kentucky high-flyer and forward Willie Cauley-Stein response to Daxter’s statement was pretty simple and straightforward stating, ”That’s good”. “It adds fuel to the fire.” It’s going to be a good game tonight, but one thing we can get from the situation is that Daxter Miles Jr and his squad are not falling under pressure. Be sure to catch the game tonight on CBS at 9:45 p.m.
