Homecoming Week at Howard University has always drawn the attention of some key players in the game. The students at the home of the Bisons have learned to always expect the unexpected when it comes to their historic school-wide celebration. This year was no exception.

For the first time in the 20 years of the festival, the school charged $5 for tickets for admission into the event. For a star-studded line up including Shanell, Mack Wilds, Young Dro, Big Sean, Gyptian, 2 Chainz, and a special performance from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, $5 dollars seemed like a bargain.

Juicy J & A$AP Ferg were also included in the line-up. However, due to the reckless outsiders rushing the gates to get through the gates surrounding the event, Howard officials wrapped up the concert around 6 PM without Juicy nor Ferg taking the stage.

Eight people were injured in the rush including two DC police officers. Check out some of the students doing whatever they can to get into the homecoming event via Instagram.
