Roy Wood$ get’s his Micheal Jackson on.
Fresh from the 6, Roy Wood$ drops some fire. After dropping his previous single “I Got” (not to forget “Murda” featuring Dej Loaf and Sha Hustle), Roy returns with a new single titled “All of You”.
Roy’s latest release is a new anthem that is as Michael Jackson influenced as much as it is it’s own silky, vulnerable brand of lyricism that characterizes him. It’s a song that pays homage to the brand of lifestyle he’s known to dabble in ever since arriving on the scene in Toronto last year: bohemic, drug-infused afterparty lust.
There’s a cathartic honesty and a vividness to Roy Wood$ that’s so refreshing that it’s easy to forget his undeniable skills: along with making rare, note-hitting melodies, he flows effortlessly, switching up and forming new cadences on the spot, blurring the line between Rap and R&B: a unique hybrid that is correctly considered the “Toronto Sound”. In “All Of You” you get the sense that this is an evolution, the final product of which is I am sure lying somewhere on EXIS, expected to drop in early 2015.
