Bombay Sapphire is currently presenting the Storyscapes Exhibit and lounge.

Taking place at Spring Studios the Tribeca Film Festival exhibit is open to the public if you make an appointment. The interaction experience is a celebration of art, filmmaking and technology. It’s showcasing five spectacular projects ranging from virtual reality to personalized web series.

 

The Enemy, by Karim Ben Khelifa was one of the five exhibits which focused on the crossroad between neuroscience, artificial intelligence and story telling. The experience takes the participant into a gallery where two photographs are displayed. At one point the avatars of the subjects in the photographs begin speaking and answering a series of questions regarding their definition of enemy, of peace, and the future. It featured one Israeli and one Palestinian. The goal was to create empathy and a universal sense of understanding in conflict zones. Given that both characters defined peace and enemy almost the same way, it shows that they are not that different.

 

Another exhibit was focused on internet privacy. Do Not Track, a personalized web series, shows the viewer how his information is tracked online and what can be done about it. There were other groundbreaking exhibits such as Karen, an app that is a life coach, Door Into The Dark, a documentary/physical experience about what it means to be blind, and The Machine To Be Another, a series of narratives that permit audience members to inhabit the body of another person.

After going through the mind blowing experiences, guests were encouraged to join nationally renowned tonic producers, to create their one of a kind tonic at the Bombay Sapphire lounge. They were welcomed by the Bombay Sapphire brand ambassador, Gary Hayward, and introduced to the new brand’s app to understand what type of gin and tonic they liked. After the diagnostic was done, Nick Kosevich the tonic expert guided them through the process of creating their very own tonic. Everything from tasting the different kinds of ingredients, to designing the label on the bottle was taken care of.

 

Also, The 5th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series competition, will be working with media mogul Russell Simmons and his RUSH Philanthropic Arts Foundation to create massive public murals in the 2014 Top 3 Winners’ hometowns across the U.S. this summer (SF, NOLA, and Houston). The upcoming mural unveilings not only celebrate Houston Artist Michael Savoie for his innovative work that was featured on this season’s hit show Empire (and an upcoming episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta), but also San Francisco Artist Kristine Mays’, whose work was recently sold to Star Wars producer George Lucas at her solo exhibit during SCOPE NYC earlier this month. This summer also marks the 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which was a key inspiration in New Orleans Artist Ti-Rock Moore’s mural to bring the NOLA community together in honor of the devastating storm.
