When you sit back and realize that you’re winning at life, sometimes it leaves a bittersweet taste in your mouth. That’s when having a ball becomes a monster’s ball. South London’s Benjamin A.D recently released a new video that explains the sentiment. The black and white video features Benjamin’s singing and short but poignant verse over Junia-T’s soulful production. Benjamin explains the creation of the track below:
The track was created in a very organic way, Junia was over here from Toronto and we were in the studio with Skripture, I heard the sample while I was on the phone in the room next door and instantly ran in and said I wanted it. We worked on it further and I asked him to keep it minimal, while Skripture killed it with the bass.
A few days later I did my work with it, and decided to address my absence from the game, and show people that I’ve been living my life and getting my mind in order. This song shows people that this is a better version of me, the evolution is evident and inevitable.
