Shout out to LEX Records for continually supporting not only unique artists but great collaborations among those artists. I first found out about them through DangerDoom’s track with Mos Def, called “Old School.” Later this year, you can look forward to an album between London’s producer, Paul White, and Florida emcee, Eric Biddines. Together, they are Golden Rules. This first single from that project is a trip down memory lane for Eric as he describes headed to his Auntie Pearl’s house. The production is quirky yet matches the nostalgic feel and nasally voice of Eric.

Paul White has been known to remix hip-hop songs as well as work on original material with artists like Danny Brown, Homeboy Sandman, and Guilty Simpson. Eric has been on the come up as a new artist with his Southern style.

You can catch them opening up for another group that LEX has been behind, BADBADNOTGOOD and Ghostface Killah, on May 15th in London’s Electric Ballroom. You can buy tickets HERE.
