Jesse Pinkman back?

Aaron Paul

Breaking Bad fans rejoice! Aaron Paul will likely be reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman in the upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul. The spinoff will act as a prequel to the multi-award-winning Breaking Bad series, centering around the misadventures Bob Odenkirk’s character, everyone’s favorite shifty lawyer Saul Goodman.

Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan has already secured Jonathan Banks to return as Mike Ehrmantraut, the show’s “problem solver” but has expressed difficulty in clinching more esteemed cast members. Dean Norris, for example, who played Walter’s DEA Agent brother-in-law, Hank Schrader, will not be returning for the series. He said, ”I think that experience was that experience,” Norris said. “I’m not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done. But I think it’s going to be awesome. So I can’t wait to see it.”

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have both expressed to Gilligan interest in returning as Walter and Jesse respectively. While the return of Heisenberg is still uncertain, Aaron Paul told the Associated Press, ”I owe [Vince Gilligan] my entire career. And the idea of jumping into the skin of Jesse Pinkman again in his lighter days — because it’s all a prequel — it would be fun.” Better Call Saul is slated for a November premiere, in the mean time enjoy their hilarious promo website.
