Action Bronson has become a fan favorite with his larger-than-life persona, penchant for pithy rhyme patterns, and entertaining live performances. His status as viable rap act has risen due in large part to his single-producer projects, where he enlists one beatsmith to lace the entire release. Blue Chips, released last year, garnered him more fans and more momentum and last night in Toronto the Queens-bred lyricist debuted two new recordings from the mixtape’s sequel, Blue Chips 2, tentatively slated for release next month. The tracks sample Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason” and Lou Bega’s “Mambo No. 5.”, respectively.
